The Celestial Asharan Society of Harmonious and Ascended Followers, commonly known as the Celestial Society or CASHAF, is an Asharan religious-political-armed movement turned political party that founded and is currently ruling the Celestial Hegemony. Its stated goals are to improve the spiritual, mental, social, and economic condition of Asharans in the Khadahari Hegemony and all of humanity. The Hashaf is both largest party represented in the Asharan Assembly and the sole governing party of the Hegemony. While it coexists de jure with two other legal parties making up the Front of Followers of the Words of the Prophet and the Hegemon, the Hashaf's supremacy is guaranteed in the constitution and the minor parties must be completely subservient and accept the Hashaf's "leading role" as a condition of their existence.

The Hashaf became the sole governing party of the Khadahari Hegemony after the Tovakizaric Civil War and began to implement the ideology of Heavordism throughout Khadahari society. It was founded in 1018 as the political arm of the Church of Asharan, chiefly by Alesander Volk. The party grew quickly and by 1165, it had became powerful enough to rival and even overthrow the established Tovakizaric Republic. Unlike in most single-party regimes, the Hashaf is more of a political arm of the government, rather than holding actual power over it.

The Holashdomi is, officially, organized on the basis of democratic centralism, a principle conceived by Tovazaric Asharan theoretician Alexiy Desipich which entails democratic and open discussion on policy on the condition of unity in upholding the agreed upon policies. The highest body of the Holashdomi is the Asharan Assembly, convened every fifth year. When the Asharan Assembly is not in session, the Supreme Council is the highest body, but since the body meets normally only once a year most duties and responsibilities are vested in the First Circle and its Supreme Council. The party's leader holds the offices of General Secretary (responsible for civilian party duties), Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) (responsible for military affairs) and Illumiarch (responsible for religious affairs). Through these posts, the party leader is the country's paramount leader, known as the Hegemon. The current Hegemon is Ayatashar Kharon who was elected following the death of Ayatashar Visarion.

The Hashaf is described by the Khadahari government as "the political base of people's power." It is intended to have a significant role in society, promoting "national solidarity" and "unity of mind in political and spiritual matters." Many of the government's social programs are conducted through the Hashaf. Recently, it has been given a role in programs to reduce poverty. The Hashaf is also responsible for much of the government's policy on religion and has the ability to determine which religious groups will receive official approval.

Committees for the Defense of the Revolution[edit | edit source]

Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, or CDR, are a network of neighborhood committees across the Hegemony. The organizations, described as the "eyes and ears of the Revolution," exist to promote social welfare and report on counter-revolutionary activity. Millions of people within the Hegemony are a member of a committee and are said to be one of the strongest organs of control within the Hegemony.

Structure and membership[edit | edit source]

The Hashaf's general assembly elects the party's President, three Vice-Presidents, and a multi-member Central Working Committee. The assembly is held annually, but elections occur only every second year. The assembly is composed mainly of delegates elected by individual local divisions of the party. The day-to-day administration of the party is carried out by the Secretary-General, a position appointed by the party's spiritual leader. The Central Working Committee is ostensibly the party's principal decision-making body, although its decisions are susceptible to being overturned by the Guardian Council, an unelected body composed only of Muslim clerics and led by the party's Spiritual Leader.

The party has multiple recognized sub-organizations for different categories of party member with the three largest being a priestly wing (the "Asharan Society of Clerics") for Asharan clerics, a women's wing (the "Asharan Women's League of the Dominion") and a youth wing (the "Youth of the Heavenly Revolution"). Each wing elects its own leadership at its own general assembly.
