Gaius Cornelius Scipio dom Lysander (1384 – 1435), commonly known as Gaius the Liberator and also colloquially as the Liberator, was a Seresian military, political leader, and revolutionary who led what are currently the states of Barcasia, Cedronia, Sertoria, Ordovia, and Gaia to independence from the Ashkali Empire. He first fought as a general of the Ashkali Imperial Colonial Army against a major Seresian uprising in what is today Barcasia in 1407, and then was one of the few Seresian generals to fight in the First Ashkali Civil War against the First Ashkali Republic; and finally, he fought on behalf of the Seresian colonies in what is known as the War of Seresian Liberation. He helped transform the unorganized and undisciplined insurgency into a revolutionary movement.
