The Cedronian–Syrasian Commonwealth – officially the Crown of the Kingdom of Cedronia and the Grand Duchy of Syras was a dual state, a bi-confederation of Cedronia and Syras ruled by a common monarch,, who was both King of Cedronia and Grand Duke of Syras. Geographically, Cedronia-Syras was the second-largest country in the continent after Barcasia and as well one of the most populous of the Successor States throughout it's existence.
The union was established by the Cedro-Syrasian Compromise in the during the Fall of the Seresian Imperium and the beginning of the Wars of the Successors. Seeing the need for unity against the larger Successor States, the monarchs of the Kingdom of Cedronia and the Grand Duchy of Syras formed a union under the monarchy of Cedronia however the Syrasian House of Castell would hold equal and at times, greater power than the Cedronian House of Reynar.
The Cedronian–Syrasian Commonwealth was marked by high levels of ethnic diversity and by relative religious tolerance, guaranteed by the Peace of Faith Act 1573 after the Wars of Faith however, the degree of religious freedom varied over time. Orthodoxism was recognized as the "dominant religion", but freedom of religion was still granted with it.
