Sunfall, known also as the Holy City, is the capital of the Celestial Hegemony and Jannah Province. It is the second largest city in the Hegegmony after Iskra and the second most populated city in the Asharan world, with a population of 1.1 million. The Sun City is home to the Heavenly Temple and much of the government of the Hegemony.
Jannah is the political, administrative, and religious center of the Hegemony and is the headquarters of the country's central government bodies, such as the Supreme Celestial Court and the Heavenly Rule Assistance Association. Jannah is of great economic importance, commercial, industrial, and cultural center located at the center of the Hegemony's road and railway networks. Grains, vegetables, and fruit are grown nearby. Manufactures include food products, wine, farm machinery, iron and steel, textiles, and cement. Jannah is one of the world's fastest-growing cities in population, with many diverse population groups immigrating from various different countries. Due to it's importance in the Asharan religion, Jannah is one of the most visited cities in the world with it's native population of a million more than tripling every year during the the Pilgrimage. The city is known to have the more shrines and temples than any other city.
Jannah was built on the crater of a meteor that fell a thousand years ago. It is said that the warrior-prophet, Azar Sunborn was found within the crater. During his conquests, he transformed the crater into his capital city. Four great causeways lead from the ground to the city’s gates, connecting Sunfall with the roads to Iskra in the east, Cychis in the north, and Angarash and Ghalmek in the south. Central to the city is its identity as the home of the chief temple of the Heavenly Temple and the Hegemon.
The religion's Grand Temple of the Eternal Flame of Azar dominates the center of the city, itself a fortress within a fortress. Its battlements are not just for show, and the Guardians of the Eternal Flame who live in the attached barracks are not just for parades. The eternal flame of Azar burns bright within its sanctum, it is said that the temple will be the last place to fall should Sunfall’s walls fail.
