Eternal Will of the Masses
The Eternal Will of the Masses, also known as the Eternal Will or simply just the Will, is the foundational and guiding philosophy and ideology of the Celestial Hegemony. Conceptualized by theologian and revolutionary philosopher Insert Name in Insert Year, the Will has since spread through much of the world, becoming the dominant ideology of potentially over a billion people. The Will states that all humans are inherently equal regardless of their position in life, with a fisherman or baker having the same worth as a leader. It is the oppressive ruling class that has corrupted humanity in order to serve their own selfish and greedy wishes with concepts such as racism, imperialism, religion, and individualism. Through these tools, the ruling class drove much of humanity into a slave class, with only the rulers being the ones to benefit from this system of exploitation and division. Only through the death and overthrow of the ruling class and extreme restructuring of society can humanity be free.
The Will teaches not to act on one's passions or individualistic ambitions. Instead, one should consider the good of the collective as a whole and how better to benefit everyone not just one's self.
Society is divided into a caste system. The three castes are the Worker Caste, Warrior Caste, and Guiding Caste. Each person is born into a particular caste but may join another if they feel strongly that their calling in life lies there and if they pass an aptitude test. The castes are divided into clans that have their own leaders and family houses, or "Fanes". Since the time of Blank, the three castes lived in peace with one another, though at times there has been friction, particularly between the guiding and warrior castes. The workers, although given equal representation in the government, were often caught in between these rivalries and forgotten until Delenn reorganized the Celestial Council in favor of them.
