Mantle of the Hegemony
- "Faith is the soul of any army; be it vested in primitive religion or enlightened truth. It makes even the least soldier mighty, the craven is remade worthy and through its balm any hardship may be endured. Faith ennobles all of the works the soldier undertakes be they so base or vile, and imports to them the golden spark of transcendent purpose."
- — Apostle Darghov, at the proclamation of the Hegemony

The Heavenly Armed Mantle of the Hegemony, or the Mantle is the unified military force of the Celestial Hegemony. It consists of five armed services (in order of precedence): Order of the Field, Hegemony Defence Corps, Order of the Seas, and the Order of the Cross. The Mantle was formed in their modern composition in 1955, which saw the centralization of command of all branches and the formation of the Order of the Cross.
The military is controlled directly by the Heavenly Security Commission and by extension the Blessed Supreme Council for the Governance and Continuation of the Celestial Hegemony. The Patriarch of the Celestial Temple serves as the commander-in-chief of the military, and helps form military policy, with extensive advice from the Chiefs of Staff. In accordance with the Hegemony constitution, the Minister of State for Defence and Homeland Security is always held by the head of the Order of the Field or the Hegemony Defence Corps, incumbency alternates every five years.
The primary branches are the Order of the Army (Orar), Heavenland Defense Corps, Order of the Seas (Orse), Order of the Skies (Orsk), and the Holy Medical Service (HMS). The Army is the mainland force while the navy is the primary force at sea with the Medical Service dealing in the physical and spiritual health of the military. The main branches are further divided into sub-branches such as the Naval Marines and the Army Archangels. The three minor branches are the Hegemon's Guard, and Provosts.
According to Tovazar's Constitution, the Heavenly Armed Mantle of the Hegemony is responsible for guarding the independence and territorial integrity of the country and maintaining order. The army, which falls under the control of the Hegemon, must be committed to the ideology of Heavordism. A network of political and religious officers throughout the armed forces influences the activities of the military, and over 90% of all officers in the armed forces are party or Komsomol (the Party's youth wing) members.
Alongside the regular army, is a militia known as the National Homeland Defense Corps(NHDC) which is comprised of civilians and veterans.
Currently, the Mantle is lead by General of the Armies, Urius Korav, who is currently stationed on the Southern Front. Urius's equal and also rival is Lightguard commander Arkan Soric.
